Western Lifestyle Photo Walk- March 23rd
February 25, 2019
This Sunday was a perfect Texas winter day, 60 degrees, sunshine and very little wind. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and take a trip down to the Fort Worth Stockyards to scope out the area for our next photo walk for Texas Vision Photography.
The stockyards have so many different areas to capture great western images, we decided to do impromptu simple portraits in available light using clean backgrounds. A break from studio and lights, just an 85 mm, 1.4 lens and a Nikon D850. Aperture was wide open to harvest all the boca we could get.
Joe’s background in newspaper and journalism caused him to develop a simple system of traveling light but not sacrificing a shot opportunity and using what was in background as essence of place or leaving the clutter of background out to focus on the subject.
Texas Vision Photography, we will be hosting photo walks on a regular basis as part of our photography workshops. The photo walks are free to join. Come on down and bring your camera on Saturday, March 23rd at 10am. We will be meeting at 131 East Exchange Blvd in the Fort Worth Stockyards for a free Photo Walk. Check our website frequently to see a full schedule of classes and posts about out upcoming photo walks. Hope to see you soon!
