Texas Vision Photography

Welcome to Wise Magazine Cover Photo – Read all about this fun shoot in Joe’s Blog!

Texas Vision Photography offers  a photographic adventure with an old West twist.  Photojournalist, Joe Duty and architectural photographer, Lisa Duty, will take you behind the scenes for a Western culture photographic expedition.  This unique photography workshop is designed for any photographer interested in improving their skills or just shooting something different than what any other photography workshop is offering.

The old West… for many these words conjure up images of times gone by.  In small town Texas the lifestyle can still be seen and captured today. Through the experience of photographing rodeo and western life, you’ll learn tips and techniques you can use in all areas of photography… lifestyle, sports, portraits and nature photography. This class brings it all to you, with a western flair.

Photojournalist, Joe Duty, has been teaching photography classes locally for 8 years. When he and his wife, Lisa Duty, got together, they made an unstoppable pair.  Lisa is a photographer, too, and when they decided to expand the classes Joe was offering, and share their knowledge to a nationwide group the questions was, “How can we provide a photographic adventure that people can’t find just anywhere?” The first thought that came to mind was Travel or Destination photography. After months of deliberation, the idea came.  “We were sitting on the porch one Sunday evening and Joe said, “We are the destination!”  Texas is a place full of history and mystery.  People from other parts of the country and the world wonder, “Does everyone in Texas have a horse and drive a truck?”  Not quite, but with Joe’s knowledge of the sport of rodeo and contacts throughout area, Texas Vision will take you on a true Western photographic expedition.   You will experience life on a real Texas ranch and see cowboys training for rodeo events.  The Western Photo Workshop will be topped off with 2 excursions,  photographing the Butterfield Stage Days Rodeo,  not just from the stands.  Joe will take you behind the scenes, as the cowboys prepare for the event.  You will be able to get up close and personal with one or more local World Champion rodeo cowboys, who will give personal photo sessions.  See daily life on the town square of this community where dress up is usually starched jeans, boots and cowboy hat.
