Pursuit of PRCA
April 23, 2019
Funny thing, shot rodeo action, portraits and feature stories on cowboys doing their thing for over 18 years from Vegas to Pendleton, never had a need for PRCA card, looking back, should have had one long ago to show respect to the ones who did. The Messenger had provided my credentials for that time so I didn’t see a need to have one. Now… I apply for my own credentials and the first thing they ask is ” do you have a PRCA card. ” So….. playing the game, I have obtained my permit to get a card by showing images for approval, getting letters of endorsement sent and awaiting a arena evaluation, but that’s okay because it’s about the love and passion for the sport as much anything else
This weekend I shoot my first permitted rodeo in Witchita Falls, Texas, these guys are so excited to have me there, in it’s self makes it all worth it!
